Google Calendar
About Google Calendar
Google Calendar is the world's most widely used scheduling platform, keeping personal and team calendars in sync across every device. It handles everything from daily meetings to project deadlines, with reminders, invitations, and shared calendars that keep everyone on the same page.
Key capabilities include:
Shared and personal calendars — separate spaces for personal commitments and team schedules
Event scheduling — one-off and recurring events with reminders and notifications
Invitations and RSVPs — coordinate availability across teams and clients
Cross-device sync — the same calendar everywhere, from desktop to phone
Google Calendar and Swyft
When you connect your Google account, Swyft brings your work calendar and your Google Calendar together. You choose the direction — pull your Google events into Swyft's timeline, push Swyft deadlines out to Google, or keep both in two-way sync — and choose exactly what's included:
Project milestones and deadlines — key dates from your projects appear alongside your daily schedule
Task due dates — tasks assigned to you land on your calendar automatically
Personal events — anything you add to your Swyft calendar can flow into Google
No more switching apps to figure out what's due when — your production schedule and your calendar become one view.
How This Integration Works
Swyft connects to Google Calendar through Google's official OAuth 2.0 platform. Each team member links their own Google account from their profile settings — your calendar stays yours, and nothing is shared between teammates. Once connected, you set your sync direction and preferences, and Swyft keeps things in step from there. You can change your settings or disconnect at any time from your profile.
Quick Setup
Step 1: Go to your Profile settings and find the Google Calendar section
Step 2: Click "Connect Google" and sign in with your Google account
Step 3: Review and approve the requested permissions
Step 4: Choose your sync direction — import, export, or two-way — and pick what to include. You're done!
Data Access & Permissions
Swyft authenticates through Google's OAuth 2.0 platform and requests only the permissions needed to run the sync: basic profile information (so you know who's connected) and Calendar access (to read and write the events you've chosen to sync). Your calendar data is only ever used to power your own sync — never scanned, shared, or used for anything else. Disconnecting removes Swyft's access immediately.
